Graphing quadratic functions in standard form.

  • Which graph has a positive a-value and at least one x-intercept?
  • Estimate this graph's vertex.

Today begins our discussion of the third form quadratic equations to graph. We will be finishing the fourth flap of our Graphing Quadratics cheat sheet. Standard form, as the name implies, is the most common form you will encounter quadratic equations in. It does require a bit of work in order to graph but not any more steps than either vertex form or intercept form.
